Working as part of a small business often requires a designer to lend his talents to things other than client work.  During my employment at Number 9 Audio Group I have designed everything from event posters to press releases – all of which represent the company in one manner or another.

After a few months of designing things without any particular theme or cohesion I decided to implement an over-arching treatment for all Number 9 materials.  I consulted with the business owner and the operations manager and eventually developed a cohesive branding system.  All company documents would be sorted by the core business they represented, with a specific colour assigned.  Blue represented audio, purple duplication, orange creative services, etc…

You can see the results of the branding above, in a variety of price sheets, brochures and business cards.  In instances where colour could not be used for continuity, a consistent typeface and logo shouldered the load.
